Friends. Fire. Local Fare.
Our pub is nestled amongst the rolling countryside of the South Downs National Park in the tranquil village of Tichborne. If you’ve ever visited, you’ll know that the setting here is pretty special. We’ve worked hard to create gardens to complement the glorious countryside backdrop and dream up unique ways for visitors to soak up our surroundings.
Our vision for the gardens at The Tichborne Arms was to create a space to bring friends, family and all lovers of the great outdoors together to bask in the great Hampshire countryside whilst sampling the delights of the seasonal fare on offer from local area. What better way to do this than on open fire.
In partnership with BBQ Magazine and a hand-picked lineup of incredible outdoor cooking brands, we have created a roster of fun, immersive fire cooking experiences where we get to share some wonderful Hampshire produce in our beautiful gardens.
Whether you love the idea of cooking freestyle over fire on an asado grill, sizzling smashed vegetables & burgers on a plancher, wood-fired oven cooking, slow cooking smoked joints of meat or simply watching and learning from a pro using a ceramic bbq oven, we have something for everyone.

Fire Feasts
Wanting a way to celebrate and showcase some of the incredible hyperlocal producers we work with, and inspired by our friends The Hidden Hut down in Cornwall, we decided to host our own series of Fire Feasts here at The Tichborne Arms late this summer. For these nights, the below feasts will be all we have to offer, allowing the kitchen team to get outside, get back to basics and cook up a feast over fire.
How it works: you'll book a spot via the link below, then when you arrive on the night you can buy a ticket from the bar. Take your ticket to the outside kitchen when you're ready to feast.
